#1 Foreword

It was July 2, 1986, some 30 years ago from now. I remember grabbing a pen and paper to work on a new essay, but for some reason—and this was something that had never happened before—I thought I should dictate and record onto a tape, instead of writing.

I ceased my thoughts and allowed myself to freely voice the words that came to mind.

“It is only a matter of time before dawn will break. You have all prepared yourselves for it. A beautiful morning is just at hand…”

What was this? I remember thinking to myself. I was baffled to hear myself utter these phrases, none of which I had spelled out in my head. Nonetheless, I was sensing the presence of an immense source of energy just above my crown, something like a white beam of light. And because this ball of energy was not an entity of words, I felt that I must interpret it into my native tongue in a hurry and thus I spurred myself to dictate each word frantically.

Looking back at it now, I realize that this was a message addressed to us down on Earth transmitted from those in the heavens. I remember speculating at the time: who were the ones sending this coronal energy upon me? Perhaps sensing the question in my mind, the senders told me that they were people who once lived upon Earth that had now become inhabitants of the heavens and wished to let the people down on terra firma of a coming era of change.

The message I received titled “Song of Light.” It was an epic comprising five books of “Song of Night,” five books of “Song of Morning,” three books of “Song of Day” and one book of “Song of Dusk.” A book was transmitted to me per session and took between July 2 to September 7 that year for the entirety of the work to be recorded on tape. If I remember correctly, I think I still have these tapes somewhere.

According to “Song of Night,” we have lived in an era of night on the celestial calendar since the dawn of history. But eventually, a paradigm shift of unimaginable proportions will come, ending night and inviting a new era of morn.

Before the night will transition into the morning, Earth will be shaken violently by a storm. Book 2 of “Song of Night” describes the collapse of the financial capitalism economy and the agony of jobless people wandering the streets in masses. Book 3 illustrates how people will suffer from the climate change brought on by global warming, leading to floods, desertification and famine, as well as a series of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. It also portrays how epidemics perpetrated by germs both new and old will wreak havoc on the world. Book 4 talks of how human violence such as the destructive war in the Middle East and recent surge of terrorist attacks in Europe is harming its own society. Lastly, the despair of people caused by mutual and self distrust as the storm winds blows through the night is painted in Book 5.

Such scenes depicted by the message made me think: “This is exactly what we humans of today need!” And now, after 30 years, I thought perhaps I should convey this “Song of Light” to this world, one more time.

Then what is the era of morn that comes after night?

Book 1 of “Song of Morning” says that once Earth enters the era, people will realize the meaning of togetherness, cease to fight and love one another, allowing them to conceive a brand new progressive culture filled with joy of life. According to Book 2, humans lived in forests sharing all their belongings before the era of night came upon them. Having learned togetherness, people will let go of private properties and be able to once again share their land and wealth among one another, while existing in harmony with nature. Book 3 depicts humans living briskly and passionately after discovering the pleasure of sharing things as small as a loaf of bread, instead of fighting over them. Book 4 talks of the existence as humans as the world travels out of an era of night and into morning.

In essence, that is what the first half of the “Song of Light” is about, but it was not without problems. Mainly, those in the heavens repeatedly told me in 1986 that “it is certain that morning will come in the year 2000.”

I was bewildered, for I had never received such a message nor felt that I had some sort of sixth sense. I remember thinking, “Is this what they call a revelation? Or a prophecy?” But at the same time, those in the heavens were not calling themselves God. They said that they, who too had once lived on Earth as humans, wanted to let mankind of today know that morning was sure to come so that we would not lose hope as we were battered by the storm of night. So I thought, “Those in the heavens must be able to predict the future as well. It’s unlikely they would go though all this trouble just to lie to me.”

But when nothing in the world seemed to change in 2000 and I was sure morning certainly had not come, I felt betrayed. I even regretted accepting the “Song of Light” without a pinch of salt, which had led me to publish the message in a book. Unable to make no further decisions as a mortal, I shelved the message away.

But as time went by, I saw that our life on Earth was progressing in the same way as the night storm described by the “Song of Light.” I also come to accept how those in the heavens were not perfect. They may have a broader perspective than us and be able to sense what is coming in the future, but they were originally humans like us. Thus, whether the message was an accurate prediction or complete fallacy was not the big question. In all, it was a kind precautionary advice given to us by our friends in the heavens. This is what I came to learn over the recent years and so I humbly decided to edit the message, as I reached the conclusion: “So it’s a message from our equal, a fellow human being. Then all I have to do is excerpt passages that suits our need today.”

When I received the “Song of Light” in 1986, I saw it as an epic poem about the future. Weaved eons ago by literary giants like Homer, epic poems are masterpieces that tell real life events, such as the Trojan War. Naturally, epic poems are about the past, but the way the “Song of Light” described the future in detail led me to believe that this was an exception.

During the past 30 years, I came to realize that the progression of mankind, for the most part, follows what is depicted in the “Song of Light.” Then, perhaps, the paradigm shift they told me of, the arrival of morning on terra firma, is true after all. I doubt I would have been able to come up with the mere notion of the morning coming upon us just by living on Earth. I do not know how strongly I have wished for such a time to come since my days as a youth, but it was hard to believe those prayers would ever be answered. But I believe I was able to live this far without losing hope in the future of our planet and people, even after what I had thought was a prophecy turned out to be false in 2000, because I was able to keep the vision of the morning alive inside me since reading “Song of Light.”

Earth is getting battered by storm amid the night as we speak. I believe those in the heavens would be overjoyed if someone else, too, could lay their eyes on “Song of Light” to visualize the coming of morning and believe in the future.

According to “Song of Light,” the era of morning will be followed by day and then finally dusk. It talks of a future so far away that humans of today—desperate to survive the harsh era we currently live in—could hardly dream of it. I believe that we will only be able to comprehend the song in its entirety when we truly understand the significance of the transformation from night to morn, as well as day and dusk. The song tells us why we were born on Earth as intelligent beings, how we live or die and return to the light at the end of our long journey.

In Book 1 of “Song of Day,” we learn how science, which had bound us to three-dimensional space, will allow us to soar into infinite dimensions as man’s senses become further heightened. Science will even allow us to defy gravity with the coming of an era in which mankind will be able to glide through the skies at will.

In Book 2 of “Song of Day,” people, while enjoying prosperity and relief, will start to notice the burden on their souls. As we reflect on ourselves in the past, mankind will start resolving their karma accumulated over the centuries.

And in Book 3 of “Song of Day,” all human beings will come to realize how the various actions of their past selves, who often times hurt those close to them, continue to haunt their hearts. Mankind will reexamine their past actions and pay off their karma, allowing weight to be lifted from their spirit, heart, soul and material bodies.

And in “Song of Dusk,” mankind will reach the end of its journey. With all impurities within stemming from emotions now gone, man will become transparent. We will become a singular entity, a glowing beam of light, and embrace our home planet we call Earth. The light is itself a living being and, according to those in the heavens, may spark life on another planet sometime in the future.

The “Song of Day” and “Song of Dusk” describes of the year 3000 and 4000 since dawn, respectively, which are both centuries in the future. But I feel time itself is perceived as something more relaxed by those in the heavens and is more of a metaphorical construct to them.

What these spirits in the heavens tell us—how we on terra firma, who possess a material body, will become a living collective being comprising a white beam of light—is difficult to fathom for we humans of today. At the same time, modern quantum physics theories state that all substances are made from tiny structures which science defines as “superstrings,” with light being no exception. If that is the case, then I believe it would be no surprise if humans could eventually return to white beams of light.

The “Song of Light” is a message sent to us from the heavens in the form of a spectacular epic that defines the long journey we take as a species.
