#6 Song of Night, Book 4

Song of Night, book 4 - The Dunes of the Middle East Witnesses War

A boat floats on tranquil seas

The water, a dark ink-like hue of blue

Called the Arabian Sea, say the people of Earth

It has been the scene of many battles since antiquity

People lived in the desert, riding camels

Traveling perpetually over dunes and sand storms

Ripples are formed on the sand

Creating majestic formations that continue on endlessly

Here, the sand is a beautiful sculpture, but is a dry existence without water

Thus, those who live here

Together with their camels, walk through knee-deep sand and travel

Seeking others, food and push on

That is how they have lived from ancient times to this day

There are oases in the desert

But they are far too tiny

To provide sufficient water and greenery to those who live in the sand dunes

The oasis grows rich with palms and other trees

With the air moist and gentle

Calming the visitors’ minds

They bathe and cleanse their bodies

Drink plentiful together with their camels, reinvigorating their bodies and souls

However

Neither the people and camels cannot stay there forever

For there are far few oases and far too many people

The visitors must continue to trek through the dunes

As the desert sand contains not a single drop of water

They too much live most of the year in arid air

That keep their bodies and soul to dry

During the 20th century, many oil wells have turned up in the desert

Though more petroleum may flow out of the sandy region than water

Man cannot drink oil

Oil does not grow greens

Oil may be vital for the industries

But hardly meets the everyday needs of the people in the deserts

The small number of people holding rights of the petrol

And gaining mass quantities of cash from abroad

Does not hydrate all the people living there

What they need more are rain and oases

The people of the dunes were given the Quran

Living a religious life wearing veils of black and white

Even such long lives dedicated to their God

Cannot hydrate their dried hearts

Jordan River, where Christ was once baptized

Is now a battlefield

Where bloodshed continues

Soldiers bleed

Bodies mutilated by bombs

Legs blown off, hands ripped apart, even decapitating them

For the riverbanks are lined with mines

The riverbed is stained with blood

At times, even children suffer the fate

Jordan River still remains blue and clear

But the heart and soul of the people are shattered

In spring, the banks of the Sea of Galilee

Is riddled with white marguerites and yellow flowers

But now, like the days of Christ

Serves as the battlefield for two opposing political powers

The Jews of Israel loathe the Arabs

And they, too, see the Jews as their enemies

To them, just being an Arab or a Jew

Sparks enough hatred to want to kill the other

Why humans can be captivated by such horrifying hatred

I can hardly fathom

Killing one another will never bring happiness

Is something both sides understand

Yet the endless chain of hatred and murder

Has become too great to stop

In Sudan, people starving continue to perish

While the guerrilla fighters around them prepare for war

Which the hungry plan to join from rage

And the Americans know the state the Arabs are in

How they suffer from starvation and the profits gained from war and oil

Are held exclusively by a small number of people

Are hurting many of the people of the dunes

But the United States

Is trying to politically exploit such suffering

Those who have died

Will finally be truly hydrated in the heavens

There is no place like hell for you to go after death

There is no material hell

But the pain caused by the stains in one’s heart and its burden

Is called hell

Everywhere in the heavens is lit by sun

The trees glow their branch tips green

The rivers flow calm

Flowers bloom

Filled with a wonderful light

That can cleanse anyone who may cast their eyes on the sight

Yet

For those who have been stained dark and heavy

Such majesty of the heavens

Will appear to be a sea of blood filled with venomous snakes and spiders

That is how the deceased sees with their own eyes of their soul

As such hell does not actually exist

Thus for that reason

You need not fear death nor judgement

Yet without cleansing one’s heart

Such a place of beauty after death

Will become a horrible hell covered in blood and snakes

Then how shall one cleanse themselves?

To cleanse the heart is to know true love

But even though I say you must love someone

Those who not know of love cannot love

True love is a fountain in the depth of everyone’s hearts

Even though people have such a fountain of love inside them

Many fail to recognize it

Sealing it tightly shut

Erecting layers of walls around

And wander outside it seeking love

Thus you must tear down the thick walls in your heart

Become innocent as an infant

True to yourself

And find that love in the depth of your hearts

Those who have found that true love inside

Can transmit that wave of love to anyone

When love is found

Man can, for the first time, be intoxicated from the joy of living

Humans are light itself

Both people and Earth are light itself

The Sun, the moon, the stars covering are night skies—they are all light itself

This universe where people live

And stars live

Are just a dazzling dance of light

That dazzling dance of light is the universe itself

Even if war happens on the deserts

Those battles are also dazzling dance of light

This

Is not something you as people will able to comprehend

Of course, mankind, too, will try to avoid war

And distance themselves from killing

That is the natural thing to do

But, regardless of what happens

Everything can said to be the universe displaying its dazzling dance of light

Man is born to become light and lives

Mostly freed of its tiny ego

Becoming light

All man has to do is sing the song of life

All material existence is born to become immaterial light

A light without form

And to become that immaterial light

Life continues to thrive

Even if all 6 billion people die out

The universe will continue to thrive of life

And display its dazzling dance of lights

The suffering of mankind is washed away by love

Reviving planet Earth

Planet Earth will once again be covered by forests of thick green

The sea will once more turn blue

Allowing for a morning where critters to run around the desert

And hop between the branches

After the night, morning will come
